This
workshop is an introduction to living off the land using native
skills. Although few of us set the goal of getting lost or spending
an unplanned night (or longer) in the woods, the skills that you´ll
begin to learn in this class will show you that it is very possible
to survive with only the clothes on your back. Specific topics
vary from class to class, but we´ll cover shelter, aidless
navigation, edible plants, friction fire starting, and discuss
primitive tool making. The class will also include personal reflection
time in the woods to quiet your mind and concentrate on the sights,
sounds and smells of nature. Today´s society is rapidly losing
touch with these primitive skills, but this workshop will get you
one step closer and teach you to further develop these on your
own.
NOTE: This workshop can be combined
with Animal Tracking and Woods Awareness on 6/7 for a total of
$100. Please indicate you wish to attend both on the workshop registration
form.
